The Treatment
What lymphatic drainage maderotherapy actually is: and who it's for.
What it is
Maderotherapy (madero-terapia) is a Colombian body-sculpting therapy that uses anatomically-shaped wooden tools, rollers, cups and contoured boards, to apply sustained, directional pressure across the body. Layered with classical lymphatic-drainage sequences, it breaks down fibrotic fatty tissue, mobilises trapped fluid and drives measurable contour change across the abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks and thighs.
Who it's for
Clients across Banstead, Cheam, Epsom, Ewell, Sutton, Coulsdon and the wider borough who want targeted body sculpting without needles or surgery, including anyone frustrated with cellulite, hormonal water retention, a heavy lower abdomen, post-pregnancy softness or a stubborn silhouette that resists diet and training.
When it's right
As a single reset before an event, or, properly, as a course of 8–12 sessions delivered weekly or twice-weekly for maximum sculpting and drainage change. Maintenance is monthly. Ideal in the run-up to a wedding, holiday or major event, and equally effective as a year-round contour discipline.
Why professional matters
Wooden tools transfer far more sustained pressure than the human hand alone, which is why properly-delivered maderotherapy visibly refines the silhouette in a way a Swedish or deep-tissue massage cannot. The results depend entirely on the therapist reading the tissue, choosing the right tool, working the right sequence and adjusting the pressure, not on how firm the tools look on Instagram.
The Cost of Leaving It
What happens when it's left, or done badly.
Cellulite, a heavy lower abdomen and 'pockets' on the outer thighs are rarely fixed by more cardio or stricter dieting. They are structural, fibrotic tissue, poor lymph and fluid trapped in the connective layer: and they need mechanical work.
Untrained maderotherapy, the wrong pressure, wrong direction, wrong tool, bruises, hurts and delivers no contour change. You leave sore and see nothing in the mirror.
Generic 'body sculpting' massages copied from TikTok skip the lymphatic pathways entirely, which is why the puffiness comes back within days.
Every month you wait is another month of the silhouette you're trying to change. A proper course pays for itself in how your clothes fit and how you feel photographed.
The Precious Moments Method
How we deliver lymphatic drainage maderotherapy, step by step.
-
Step 1
Consultation & Body Mapping
Medical history, medications, pregnancy status, any recent surgery and a body-map of the areas you want to change. We photograph, with your consent, at session one, four and eight so the change is measurable, not remembered.
-
Step 2
Protocol & Tools
We select the appropriate wooden tools, Swedish cup, contoured board, cellulite roller, lymphatic cube, for your tissue type and target areas, and agree the pressure with you before we start.
-
Step 3
Treatment
60–90 minutes on a warm treatment bed. Firm, rhythmic, directional strokes through the correct lymphatic sequence, abdomen, flanks, hips, glutes, front and back of thighs, with the tool changing to match the depth of tissue.
-
Step 4
Aftercare
Hydration guidance, gentle movement (a walk, not a heavy gym session), no strong heat for 24 hours, and a same-day WhatsApp check-in if it's your first session. Mild redness is normal; bruising should not be.
-
Step 5
Course Cadence
Weekly or twice-weekly for 8–12 sessions produces the most measurable contour and drainage change. Maintenance is a session every 3–4 weeks. Buy 6, receive your 7th free; buy 8, receive 10.
What You Actually Get
Specific, measurable benefits.
Measurable contour change
Refines the waist, abdomen, hips, glutes and thighs across a course, with photographs at session one, four and eight so the change is documented, not guessed.
Visible reduction in cellulite
Sustained mechanical pressure breaks down fibrotic connective tissue that hand massage simply cannot reach.
Drains puffiness and bloat
Layered lymphatic sequences move trapped fluid, most clients feel and see a difference on the same day.
No needles, no downtime, no surgery
Firm, comfortable, non-invasive, you walk in and out the same day, back to normal life immediately.
Complements fat freezing and radio frequency
An ideal add-on around a course of cryolipolysis or radio frequency, the lymphatic work helps clear the fat cells your body is already breaking down.
Deeply relaxing
Despite the firmness, the rhythm of maderotherapy is calming, most clients feel lighter, looser and more grounded afterwards.
The Detail
Everything you'd want to know before booking.
The wooden toolkit and what each tool does
A proper maderotherapy protocol uses a set of anatomically-shaped tools, each with a specific job. The Swedish cup is a rounded wooden cup used with firm rolling pressure to break up superficial fibrotic tissue across the outer thighs, glutes and abdomen. The contoured sculpting board is drawn along the sides of the waist and abdomen to shape and lift. The spiked cellulite roller is used across areas of visible dimpling to disrupt the connective bands that create the orange-peel appearance. The lymphatic cube is used with lighter, directional pressure along the lymphatic pathways to move fluid toward the nodes. Choosing the wrong tool, or worse, using every tool on every client, is the single most common mistake in poorly-trained maderotherapy.
Areas we work and what to expect
A full body session covers the abdomen, flanks, hips, glutes, front and back of thighs and, where appropriate, the arms and décolletage. We work each area through a sequence: warming, lymphatic drainage of the region, sculpting with wooden tools, and a final drainage pass toward the nearest lymph nodes. Most clients see a visible change in silhouette on the same day; structural cellulite and fibrotic change builds across a proper course of 8–12 sessions. Mild redness for a few hours is normal, bruising is not, and is a sign of poor pressure or poor tool choice.
How maderotherapy sits alongside our other body treatments
Maderotherapy is a natural partner for our fat freezing (3D Lipo cryolipolysis) and radio frequency treatments. Once cryolipolysis has damaged the fat cells, the body needs to clear them via the lymphatic system, a maderotherapy course accelerates that clearance and refines the contour. Radio frequency clients often add a maderotherapy session before or after to enhance drainage. Where clients want a purely drainage-led protocol without the deeper sculpting element, our Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage service is a better fit, we'll advise honestly which one your goal actually needs.
Contraindications, safety and insurance
We screen for contraindications properly. Absolute contraindications include acute infection, deep-vein thrombosis (current or historical), unstable cardiovascular conditions and certain active cancers. Pregnancy is a relative contraindication for full-body work, we can offer modified lymphatic-only protocols with GP awareness. Post-surgical clients (abdominoplasty, liposuction) require written clearance from their surgeon and are generally better suited to our Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage protocol during early recovery. Precious Moments is fully insured for every treatment offered and every session is recorded.
How we plan lymphatic drainage maderotherapy at Precious Moments.
A good result is not created by the treatment name alone. It is created by the consultation, the suitability check, the order of treatments, the settings used, the aftercare followed and the consistency of the course. That is why every lymphatic drainage maderotherapy client starts with a conversation about medical history, previous treatments, medication, skin behaviour, lifestyle, upcoming events and the result they actually want. If another treatment would deliver the outcome more safely or more directly, we say so before you spend money.
The clinic works from 6 Eastgate in Banstead, so repeated appointments are realistic for clients travelling from Cheam, Epsom, Ewell, Sutton, Coulsdon, Kingswood, Chipstead and Tattenham. That matters because most meaningful aesthetic results are not single-visit miracles. They come from a correct sequence: the first appointment establishes the baseline, the middle appointments build the result, and the review appointment decides whether maintenance, a top-up or a different layer of treatment is the sensible next step.
Pricing is kept live on Treatwell so clients are not reading old figures on the website. Course value is built into the clinic model: buy a course of six and receive the seventh treatment free; buy eight and receive ten. Repeat-course Early Bird offers and the loyalty stamp scheme can reduce the cost further for clients who already know they want an ongoing skin, laser or body plan. A deposit is required to secure booking, and appointments can be rescheduled without charge outside the 48-hour window.
Safety is documented rather than assumed. Precious Moments is fully insured, council-registered for skin-piercing and semi-permanent make-up procedures, and uses licensed clinical-waste disposal for sharps and treatment waste. Practitioners hold NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 beauty qualifications, with additional advanced training across laser, skin needling, radio frequency, injectables, oncology massage and Dermalux LED protocols. That combination gives each appointment a clear structure: assess, treat, record, advise and review.
Suitability before sales
If lymphatic drainage maderotherapy is not the right route for your skin, body or timetable, we will redirect the plan rather than forcing the booking.
Local course consistency
Regular attendance is easier from a Banstead clinic with clear opening hours, WhatsApp support and a small team who remember your treatment history.
Aftercare that protects results
You leave with practical instructions on heat, exercise, actives, SPF, makeup, swimming or massage restrictions where relevant: not vague advice.

Frequently Asked
Lymphatic Drainage Maderotherapy in Banstead, your questions, answered.
How much does lymphatic drainage maderotherapy cost in Banstead?
+
Maderotherapy is currently booked directly rather than through Treatwell, so pricing is confirmed at your complimentary consultation once the number of areas and course length are agreed. Message us on WhatsApp for the current session and course fees.
How is maderotherapy different from your Brazilian lymphatic drainage?
+
Both use firm, directional work, but maderotherapy is tool-led and sculpting-first, focused on cellulite, fibrotic tissue and structural contour change. Brazilian lymphatic drainage is drainage-first, focused on bloat, puffiness and post-operative recovery. At consultation we'll advise which one your goal actually needs, and often clients rotate between the two.
How many sessions will I need?
+
Weekly or twice-weekly for eight to twelve sessions is our standard course recommendation for visible contour change. A single reset session before an event is also popular. Maintenance is a session every three to four weeks.
Is it painful?
+
It's firm, noticeably firmer than a standard massage, but it should not hurt or bruise. We agree the pressure with you before we start and adjust throughout. Mild redness for a few hours is normal; bruising is a sign of poor technique and should not happen with a properly-trained therapist.
How soon will I see results?
+
Most clients see a visible change in the mirror on the same day, flatter abdomen, refined waist, less puffiness. Structural contour and cellulite change builds across a proper course of eight to twelve sessions, which is why we photograph at session one, four and eight.
Will it get rid of cellulite completely?
+
Cellulite is structural: no treatment eliminates it forever. What maderotherapy does, done properly and consistently, is visibly reduce its appearance and improve skin texture across a course, with monthly maintenance to hold the result.
Is there any downtime?
+
None. Some clients feel very relaxed afterwards, we recommend hydration, gentle movement (a walk rather than a heavy gym session) and no strong heat (sauna, hot bath) for 24 hours.
Can I combine it with fat freezing or radio frequency?
+
Yes: and we often recommend it. Maderotherapy accelerates lymphatic clearance of the fat cells damaged by cryolipolysis, and enhances drainage around radio frequency work. We'll build the sequence into your course at consultation.
Can I have maderotherapy during pregnancy or after surgery?
+
Full-body maderotherapy is not appropriate during pregnancy, and post-surgical clients (abdominoplasty, liposuction) are generally better suited to our Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage protocol during early recovery, with written surgeon's clearance. We screen for this properly at consultation.
Is the clinic insured?
+
Yes. Precious Moments holds full public liability insurance covering every treatment we provide, and every session is recorded with area, tool, pressure and photographs where consented.
How do I book?
+
Treatwell for live availability, or call/WhatsApp 07457 404213 if you'd like to discuss whether maderotherapy or Brazilian lymphatic drainage is the right fit for your goal.
What's your cancellation policy?
+
A deposit is required to book. Cancellations outside 48 hours can be rescheduled free of charge.
